"An experience into Prehistoric time" with the exclusive guided tour in the heart of the reserve" The tour starts after a brief introduction, from a small square in Amalfi. We will follow the same tracks of ancient traders that will lead us to Pontone, town known for being the first Roman settlement on the Amalfi coast. We will then enter the heart of the "Valle delle Ferriere", among ancient paper mills, waterfalls, and a great variety of flora and fauna, which make the landscape magical and unique in its kind. We will then proceed along the road that leads to "Canale Grande", an area in front of the Valle delle Ferriere Natural Reserve. Once inside the natural reserve, you will notice the clear difference between the two climatic zones, where the favorable climatic conditions make possible the growth of the iconic prehistoric fern "Woodwardia Radicans", as well as hosting numerous species of amphibians such as the fire salamander. After a short break immersed in the "valley", walking along the tracks, we will closely admire the ancient paper mills that distinguish our territory, to then return to the starting point thus completing a 360° experience of the "green" part of Amalfi.

Indeed, it was thanks to its rivers that Amalfi was able to embark on a new, equally prosperous economic season, thanks to the production of bambagina paper and the Sfusato lemon, which are its typical products. You will therefore discover that there is another Amalfi, less touristy and particularly rich in history and nature.
