Ways to visit Li Galli (Sirenuse)

This archipelago comprises La Castelluccia, Gallo Lungo, and La Rotonda, and is considered one of the most scenic spots off Italy’s southern coast. That said, the islands are a staple of boat tours that usually cover Sorrento, the Amalfi Coast, and Capri. Most cruises that depart from the mainland to Capri sail past Li Galli, so join a small-group or private excursion to take in this trio of islets.

Best (quick) way to visit Capri from Amalfi
Lucia and Luigi were wonderful guides. The tour, the swimming, and the attention to everyone was great. It was a great way to see the coast from Amalfi to Capri and back.

Absolutely gorgeous trip - the guide and boat captain were very fun and friendly, and the trip had a great balance of scheduled activities and free time. There was a bit more down time waiting for other groups to get picked up and taken to the Positano dock than I expected, but it was very worth it once we were on the trip - and was worthwhile as well to not have to coordinate our own arrival to Positano.

Captain Nino and Manuel’s personalized the trip with knowledge of sites, history and great music! Personally, the boat ride was best part. The town is cute but much like Amalfi, with shops, restaurants and beach access. The limoncello spritzer I had was perfect!

We loved the boat ride to Capri. It was comfortable & not crowded. Our boat had 10 passengers & max was 12. The drinks and snacks were perfect. Our skipper was great & our guide was wonderful.

We were initially skeptical because there were not many reviews but it was amazing!! It was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi coast. Our tour guide was a woman who lives on Capri and she was very knowledgeable about the area. The weather was a bit chilly when we went so recommend bringing a wind breaker!

I went with a friend group that I was studying abroad with, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As students we were splurging a little bit on the price of this trip, however it was very worth it at the end of the day. The boat, our crew, and the other groups were very enjoyable, and to see & explore Capri was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would fully recommend this tour.
Remarkable experience. Worth every penny.

An absolutely incredible experience. The staff was professional from start to finish. We saw all of the sights around Capri that would’ve been challenging to reach alone. We did pass by the blue grotto but did not stop to go in. I preferred it that way because I would not want to wait until the sun for hours. The tour made much better use of that time. Highly recommended!

Li Galli Islands and Capri boat tour from Amalfi
A day to remember! The trip to Capri was made special by an amazing crew. We sailed around the island and were able to stop and take a dip in the sea. The crew playfully tossed drinks to us so we could enjoy them during our swim. When we arrived Sal made arrangements for a bus to drive us to Anicapri and back. So easy! The tour also provided delicious sandwiches for us to take with us. Once the boat picked us up in the evening we were treated to Prosecco and fruit, limoncello, and a going away treat. You will not regret booking this tour instead of taking a ferry.

Li Galli Islands and Capri boat tour from Amalfi
This was by far one of my favorite days. We were a bit hesitant because of the reviews but we absolutely loved it! We were picked up at the bus station area in amalfi and drove to Sorrento which took about 1.5 hours. The drive was nice but it was extremely curvy so if you get carsick I would recommend taking the ferry to Sorrento instead. When we arrived in Sorrento we were assigned a boat, all boats had small groups which was really nice. We sailed to Capri and had a stop for swimming and saw the Grottas. They provided us with drinks, snacks and a sandwich. We spent ~4 hours of free time in Capri exploring/at the beach. We got back on the boat and circled the island/swam/snorkeled. We had an absolute blast and i would highly recommend this tour. My only comment is that we thought we were going to have some time to explore Sorrento but it wasn’t part of the tour, it was just where the boat docked.

this excursion was AWESOME!! just a disclaimer, the tour does not start in amalfi; a driver picks you up in amalfi and drives you to sorrento. we did not mind that at all. our skippers, jacamo & francesca were so wonderful, fun and out going. they take you to all the hot spots and more (except for blue grotto, which is fine because you get to dive off the boat and swim in a grotto elsewhere). they provide drinks and snacks, as well. we luckily had a small group of 10 people which didn’t make the boat feel crowded. they dropped us off in capri for 4 hours on the dot, so my boyfriend & i got lunch, took a nap on the beach and walked the area! this is a FULL DAY tour so get rest the night before! i would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a boat tour because the price is very reasonable. other boat tours cost you about 115€ to only see the blue grotto.

Li Galli’s Celebrity Residents

The three islets were purchased by Russian choreographer and dancer Leonide Massine in 1922, when the historic monastery and prison on Gallo Lungo was converted into a private residence. After Massine’s death, the Russian dancer Rudolf Nureyev bought the islands and lived there until his death in 1993. In 1996, the archipelago was acquired by a Sorrento hotelier and are now filled with luxury holiday properties.
