How to get to Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum
In the Millennium Point building, close to the Birmingham city center, Thinktank is easily reached by car, public transit, or bicycle. The nearest highways are the M5, M6, and M42. Or, take the 14, 55/55A, or 94 train from the city center and get off at Moor Street station, a 10-minute walk from Thinktank. You’ll find bike racks on the north and south sides of the building.
When to visit Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum
Thinktank is open every day from 10am to 5pm, with last admission at 4pm. Go after 3pm on a weekday for discounted admission. A “morning explorer” tour is offered on certain Saturdays (see the Thinktank website).
Events and Activities at Thinktank
Thinktank features an array of events and activities, from planetarium shows and moon landing parties, to a science circus that gives you the chance to try out tricks. Or, look into Thinktank’s “meet the experts” talks—hosted in collaboration with the University of Birmingham—and learn about topics such as eyewitness programs or butterfly metamorphosis.
