Mangue de Pedras is different from other mangroves around the world, which form on muddy soil and at the mouth of rivers, the mangrove in Buzios is formed by gravel and coarse sand, with no rivers nearby to discharge fresh water. This action is done by rainwater infiltrated into the ground. To complete the unique landscape, the scenery features large trees with roots braided amidst rocks and small natural pools. Parallel to the beach and the mangrove, the typical vegetation of the region displays cacti and bromeliads in a rare combination for a mangrove environment. Ponta do Pai Vitório is formed by tectonic movements, the “fault” – as the Ponta is called by geologists – impresses for the “set of the work”. Covered by dense vegetation and advancing over the sea amid rocks, it creates an exotic and wild landscape, perfect for many recordings.

Enjoy the sightseeing city tour of Cabo Frio. Starting with pickup at the hotels in Búzios at 9 am, we travel by minivan to Cabo Frio. It is a 1-hour drive from Búzios to Cabo Frio. We arrive in Cabo Frio around 11am and we visit the most famous spots and beaches of the city. We stop at the Shopping Park Lagos for some shopping. Then, we head to the historical center and stop for lunch (drinks and desserts not included). We visit the Saint Benedict Church and the Saint Matheus Fort. We visit the famous Praia do Forte and stop for a swim and relax at the beautiful beach. We continue to our last stop at the Rua dos Biquínis for extra shopping before returning to Búzios around 5pm.

We will board a schooner, equipped with all the necessary amenities to enjoy the tour. The beaches visited are: Praia da Armação, Ilha do Caboclo, Orla Bardot, Praia dos Ossos, Praia Azeda, Praia da Azedinha, Praia de João Fernandes. In addition, we will make stops at the beaches of João Fernandes, João Fernandinho, Ilha Branca, Ilha Feia, Tartaruga, Tartaruguinha, Praia das Virgens, Praia dos Amores and Praia do Canto, about 20 minutes long each, so that you can swim at sea and diving (the necessary equipment will be provided by the crew). During the navigation, seasonal fruits, mineral water and soft drinks will be offered.

Departure from hotels in Búzios going to the cities of Cabo Frio and Arraial do Cabo. In Arraial do Cabo, considered the Brazilian Caribbean, we will take a 3-hour boat trip to discover the main tourist attractions. The first stop will be Ilha do Farol, a beach protected and preserved by the Navy where we will stay for 30 minutes. The boat follows the tour passing by the Nossa Senhora da Conceição Crack, Pedra do Macaco, Blue Cave and Meteorite Cave where we can take pictures. Our second stop is at Pontal do Atalaia Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the region. Only a small strip of white sand separates the blue of the sea and the green of the mountain. We will have 30 minutes to swim. Our last stop is at Praia do Forno and we will have 15 minutes. In Cabo Frio, where we will have a break for lunch at a buffet restaurant. After lunch, we will make a panoramic visit to Praia do Forte, Forte de São Mateus, and the historic center.
