Pelican Rock

Cabo marine protected area, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

The Basics

Pelican Rock is only reachable by boat, and most visitors arrive as part of a guided snorkeling or kayaking tour that includes hotel or port pickup and drop-off. Sightseeing cruises typically also visit other must-see Land’s End attractions, such as the Arch of Cabo San Lucas (El Arco), Lover’s Beach, Medano Beach, and the area’s resident sea lion colony.

Glass-bottom boat tours let you view Los Cabos’ colorful sea life without getting wet, and there’s also a stand-up paddleboard (SUP) tour and a popular Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo sightseeing combo tour to consider.

Snorkeling at Pelicans Rock
Tour guide Jonathan and Captain Lupe provided a great experience. Small bout tour to the Arch, Lovers and Divorce beaches, followed by a great 30-45 minute snorkel experience with multiple fish species and seeing the pelicans (and crabs) at Pelican Rock up close. Lunch was basic but hit the spot - a sandwich, chips, granola bar and juice. Best snorkel tour so far in Los Cabos.

3-Hour Private Pelican Rock Snorkeling and chileno Bay
We had a great time! Totally worth it! My only suggestion is that they make sure they have a first aid kit on board! But our guides were awesome, the music was great and the kids loved it!

Fun excursion, from start to finish Martin took care of us. Snorkeling was good, boat was clean and our guides did an excellent job. Baguette sandwich lunch was great. Recommend this to anyone who wants to see the Arch area and get a taste of the town.

Boat Tour to Cabo San Lucas Arch and Rock Formations
We loved this excursion. Our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us where we’re were able to safely view whales and pointed out the different fish. We really enjoyed seeing all the natural landmarks he pointed out to us. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

Arch Boat Tour and Snorkeling at Pelican Rock
Leonardo was a great tour guide. I was a bit skeptical to purchase since I didn’t see many reviews but clear directions and Indio made sure we got to the right place to meet our guide . I had accidentally booked the wrong date and they were able to accommodate me I’m not much of a swimmer and it was perfect because I could stay on the beach while my son and husband went to snorkel. The current was a bit rough so I’m glad I didn’t go out . It’s best to get their early.

Pelican Rock Snorkeling and Sightseeing Adventure
We had a great time snorkeling as a family. We saw a lot of fish and a sea loin on the rock. Little Greg was a great boat guide. We loved seeing the arch and other rock formations.

The guide was funny but very informative as well. He fit perfectly with the personality of our group! During the snorkeling I was afraid and he stayed with me and made me feel very safe.
