Private Climbing OR Hiking Experience in Cheile Turzii
If you are a fan of breathtaking viewpoints and very nice Instagram photos, then this activity is for you. Located at only 30 km from Cluj-Napoca, Cheile Turzii (Turda Gorge) is one of the most beautiful gorges from Romania.
There are 2 alternatives for this tour:
a) the adventurous one, where we climb the via ferrata from the gorge;
b) the easy one, where we hike through a lot of scenic viewpoints above the gorge.
You can specify which option you prefer when you book a tour.
The climbing is very easy (no technical experience required), starting from the river level and making our way up the gorge, passing through a vertical cave called "Grota lui Hili". The via ferrata is one way only, and the climbing down will be made on a hiking trail.
Alternatively, if you have fear of heights or you are not a big fan of adrenaline, you can choose the hiking option (b). The views are just as breathtaking.

Amazing first via ferrata experience!
This was my first time doing a via ferrata. Tudord and his girlfriend Julia were amazing guides. They made me feel comfortable and confident that I could do it and shared a lot of knowledge about Romania and their region. Just very nice people. I've already recommended this trip to many people while I've been traveling!

Awesome climb and views
Had a great time out with Andrei on the via Ferrata and hike around Cheile Turzii.
You definitely need to have a decent strength/fitness level if you choose to do the climb but I would highly recommend you do as the views all the way up and on the top are just incredible. Andrei was a great encouragement the whole way, and we had lots to talk about regarding Transylvania, the history and topography of the land. Really happy I did this (despite having no typical hiking gear thanks to a lost luggage) and is a great way to see the gorge safely.

All in all, no complaints! .. perfect weather conditions, really good and cool guide, safe equipment, amazing scenery and just a really great experience, that we would recommend with out a question to everyone!
