Take part in our guided tours that will take you on a pleasant walk along the main streets of the historic center of Ravenna to discover the most evocative and significant corners, famous people, anecdotes, food and wine and street art.
A guided tour that starts from the Tomb of Dante Alighieri, and then deepens the rich heritage of the city, of which the 8 Unesco monuments are only the flagship.
Ravenna with its basilicas, baptisteries and mausoleums tells us about a glorious past as a protagonist, in which it was capital 3 times.
Entering the historic center, small buildings adorned with portals, mullioned windows, balconies and arcades, testify to the building renovation carried out during the Venetian domination. Not to mention the fact that for centuries, Ravenna welcomed illustrious people who were profitable poets and ingenious revolutionaries in these lands. So much so that even today Ravenna continues to be a source of such great inspiration.
Ravenna, the city of mosaics… and more!
Through this tour, we wish to tell you a story in which Ravenna was the stage for important events, a treasure chest, an ancient and contemporary artistic laboratory, a source of inspiration for many authors such as Dante Alighieri, Gustav Klimt and Lord Byron and some street contemporary artists such as Kobra and Blub.
Starting from Piazza San Francesco, from the Zone of Silence, guardian of Dante's Tomb, and passing through Piazza del Popolo you can enter the heart of the historic center of Ravenna to learn more about what characterized a great past without neglecting its curiosities.
Through this walk, we therefore want to introduce you to the spaces and actors that characterize Ravenna in a different way, traveling through history and taste: starting out to discover the "Mosaic Capital" and concluding with an aperitif in the Spritz-based covered market and typical Piadina.
Inject some fun into your Bologna sightseeing with this app-based quest that leads you through the old town and past the city’s main landmarks. The Collection of Contemporary Mosaics, whose new layout was recently inaugurated, traces the development that the mosaic technique has had from the second decade of the twentieth century to today.
The cornerstone of the renewal of mosaic art is the Exhibition of Modern Mosaics inaugurated in 1959, whose works represent the central nucleus of the collection and on which the entire collection has developed.
