The Basics

A visit to Maison Cailler is a treat for the senses (especially the taste buds), in that visitors can taste, touch, smell, and see all stages of chocolate making. It’s also a chance to learn about the history of chocolate production. Travelers can visit the chocolaterie independently, or join a guided tour that includes stops at other attractions in the region, including wine- and cheese-related destinations.

Gruyères Medieval Town, Cheese Factory and Maison Cailler Tour from Interlaken
if you want to get out of Interlaken and see something typical Swiss - just do it! We had a great time in the French part with the cheese factory and the chocolate factory, which was pre-organized by our tourguide. Transfers were smooth and you get samples to try on both sites.

Gruyères Medieval Town, Cheese Factory and Maison Cailler Tour from Interlaken
We like to have some time for ourselves on a tour - that was fantastic. Tour guide was the driver too and did it great. We got an itinerary, we got suggestions from the guide and everything went perfect. Always had VIP-location on drop-off/pick-up and it was well organized. Tour guide was the storyteller while heading to the next stop. Would do it again!

Gruyères Medieval Town, Cheese Factory and Maison Cailler Tour from Bern
Smooth transfers in between the sights - knowledgeable guide. Cheese house you get the audio guide to stroll through the exhibition. The free time at the village I used to have a nice lunch. Then got transferred to Chocolate factory with a funny interactive tour. The tour is easy, if you follow the instructions of the guide / driver, as he also handed out the schedule of the day.

Loved the tour, as it was very varied. Had time at the cheese factory. Then discovered the town after a short transfer. Got a lot of chocolate after another short transfer. Tour guide was fantastic, we were well informed where to go and where to meet again.
