Things to Do in Koper

The Venetian-era old city, with its crumbling building facades, picturesque streets and impressive stone detailing is among the most popular sites in this historic port town. Tito Square, a gathering space for both locals and travelers, sits at the center of old city and provides a perfect starting point for visitors looking to explore.

In a city filled with buildings in near ruin, Praetorian Palace, built in the 15th century, is one of the only completely restored structures on the plaza. Though still in relatively rough condition, Cathedral of the Assumption remains an iconic church in the city and travelers can climb to the top of the bell tower at Campanile for some of the best views of the Koper.
