The Garden is situated in Sunset’s Zone 23 , one of the most favored growing areas in the world. About 100 trees and shrubs are rare mature specimens, infrequently seen elsewhere. The wide variety of plant life provides food and shelter to an abundant wildlife and bird population, and over 200 species of birds are sighted annually. Popular features include a small lake, Mediterranean Garden, AARS Rose Garden, Water-Wise Garden, Garden for the Senses, Cactus Garden, Children’s Garden, Fuchsia Garden, Dahlia Garden, Herb Garden, and Japanese Garden. Shoreline Village is a charming shopping village features colorful boardwalk shops & restaurants amid scenic harbor views with the cruise ships and the famous Queen Mary as a background. The boardwalk sits just outside the reach of the mighty Pacific and stretches for almost half a mile through the rolling dunes. The Shoreline Village is also the home of the Long Beach Grand Prix. Some of the themes at the garden are seasonal.

Guests get to kayak out into the La Jolla Ecological Reserve with trained professional guides to take them to various snorkel sports in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve (spot depends on safety and may change depending on the day.) Once the group arrivals at chosen snorkel spot, the guides will till all of the kayaks together with rope and drop a sea anchor, so the kayaks are stationary, and the guests get to hop out and snorkel in the majestic waters of the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. After the snorkeling portion, guests kayak back to the launching point. Entire duration last two hours. No snorkel experience necessary but preferred. Must be a comfortable swimmer in the ocean to participate.

Visit La Jolla and ride to the summit of Mount Soledad with a 2.5-hour guided tour by electric bike.
