Cankar Centre (Cankarjev Dom)
The Basics
The Cankar Centre hosts well-known artists and ensembles from all over the world in addition to local music, dance, and theatre events. The box office is open weekday mornings and afternoons and an hour prior to each performance.
The Ljubljana International Film Festival
The Ljubljana International Film Festival is the biggest annual event held at the Cankar Centre. This two-week festival is typically held in November and features Slovene films as well as a selection of independent films from around the world and a short films competition. Purchase film tickets and multi-day passes in advance since film showings tend to sell out.
