Things to do in Luquillo
Welcome to Luquillo
Luquillo isn’t known as the “Capital del Sol” (“Capital of the Sun”) for nothing—in fact, one of the top things to do in this seafront city, located in northeastern Puerto Rico, is to enjoy some of the island’s most popular beaches. Sunbathers head to Luquillo Beach to relax on the golden sands, sip daiquiris, and groove to the reggaeton that carries on the breeze, while surfers catch waves at La Pared. It’s also just a short trip inland to El Yunque, the only tropical rain forest in the US National Forest Service, renowned for its biodiversity and accessible hiking trails.
