Hana

Hana, Maui, Hawaii

The Basics

Hana and the famous Road to Hana (also called the Hana Highway) are known for their unspoiled ocean views, vibrant rainforests, and waterfalls. Top sights include the black-sand beaches at Wai‘anapanapa State Park, the Hana Lava Tube, and Hamoa Beach. You can also visit the town’s cultural center and museum and shop for souvenirs at Hasegawa General Store and the Hana Ranch Store.

Consider joining a guided tour of the Road to Hana, which allows you to enjoy the sights along the way without worrying about navigating the road’s hairpin turns and one-lane bridges. Alternatively, if your time is limited or you are looking for a luxury experience, you can visit Hana and view its famous coastline on a helicopter tour.

Private Escalade Halfway to Hana Tour - Half Day
We had a great day with Katrice on our halfway to Hana tour. The car was beautiful and clean. Katrice was super friendly and very knowledgeable about Maui. We had a great time. Our only complaint was the twin falls hike was quite difficult for 2 older parents and a toddler and I think we went on the wrong path so better direction would be helpful. And the provided drinks could have been a bit colder since we were out on a hot day. I would 100% recommend this tour.

The road to Hana and beyond was breathtaking. For the entire day we marveled in the wonders of nature. Our tour guide kaili was informative and responsive and his driving the difficult roads kept us at ease. A must do experience while in Maui!

We loved this day trip. Our guide, Shelly was fantastic. She was a local who knew "everything" about Hana. She was also a wonderful driver. We had a fabulous time and learned so much about the land, the people, and their culture. I would recommend this trip to anyone who likes to learn and experience new adventures.

Lei was delightful. She was funny, knowledgeable, cute as can be. She had a great playlist. Black sand beach was amazing along with all of the other stops. Lunch was delicious and plenty to eat and drink. Half way to Hana has amazing banana bread.

Small Group Road to Hana Adventure Tour with Pickup
We had a wonderful guide named Heavenly, a native of Maui, who really shared her passion and love for Hawaii with all of us. We were picked up from our hotel at 6:10am and got to see so many things in Hana. We loved the black sand beach and the various waterfalls and even got to see some huge turtles! It’s a long day but highly recommend!

Small-Group Road to Hana Luxury Tour
We truly enjoyed the Hana tour especially the fact that it was a small tour so not too many folks. We had another wonderful family with us. The guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out "do not miss" spots along the way. The road is a challenge but the guide knew how to drive it well. We had breakfast at Marcos followed by lunch at a restaurant in Hana - both of which were excellent.
