The Basics

The castle is among the most important cultural sights in Milan, together with the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie—where Leonardo Da Vinci’sLast Supper is located—and the Cathedral. Lines can be long to enter its museums, so book a skip-the-line tour of this vast complex to avoid a delay at the entrance or join a walking tour of the city that includes stops at some of its most famous monuments and a visit to the castle. Certain parts of the castle, including the crenellated ramparts and the covered "Ghirlanda" passage, are only accessible by private tour.

Worth the time!
Guide was great--enthusiastic about the topic and very knowledgeable. It was great to hear the history of such a historic painting. Afterwards, we toured the Sforza Castle. I was not overly impressed with that part of the tour. Would likely skip that the next time. Nothing against the guide or the tour itself but after hearing about and seeing the Last Supper, it was not as interesting.

Last Supper and Sforza Castle Walking Tour
I loved the castle part. Especially the tapestry room. So many interesting facts about the painting of the Last Supper. Really enjoyed this tour. I believe you get so much more in a tour than just visiting on your own.

Sforza Castle and Michelangelo's Pietà Rondanini guided experience
Lorella was a great guide. She showed us everything in good order, taking into account the many school groups that were there, so we could see everything without big crowds around us. She gave us a lot of great history, but not so much that we were overwhelmed or didn't get to see the sights and take photos. All in all a great tour!
