While people visit Napa Valley with the express purpose of drinking incredible wine and learning about the place and process, most wineries pour you a flight, blurt out a frenzied paragraph of wine words, and move right on to the next guest. I can provide you with a customized experience and true insight into the vineyards, the history and practices of the winery, and of course the wines themselves. Learning the fundamentals about why a wine tastes a certain way is a crucial step to understanding what you do or don't like, and gives you the vocabulary to dialogue freely with a sommelier or wine professional. No question is too basic, no topic off the table! I aim to provide a fun and educational tasting environment where everyone feels comfortable enough to ask all the burning wine question. How to be a Buttermonger! We will guide you each in how to make butters, sweet, savory, salted and unsalted. We feature local cream and our full spice bar for you to create your own compound butters to take home and enjoy. Each guest will take home 1# fresh made butters and a signed Buttermonger Book.
