Mojave Desert

California

The Basics

The Mojave Desert, which lies mostly within California, also stretches into small portions of Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. Death Valley National Park is the desert’s most notable attraction, but there is much to explore here. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, outside of Las Vegas, is popular for its rugged rock formations, while Mojave National Preserve features sand dunes, Joshua trees, and endless wildflowers.

The region attractions all kinds of visitors, from outdoorsy travelers interested in hiking and camping, to rock-climbing adventure-seekers, to those just passing through en route from Los Angeles or San Diego to Las Vegas or the Grand Canyon. Aerial Grand Canyon tours provide views of the desert from the sky, while multi-day US West road-trip tours stop at various parks and preserves.

Half-Day Mojave Desert ATV Tour from Las Vegas
Our guide Brent was awesome, lots of info about the area, and a naturally funny guy. The tour is single file. So you only go as fast as the slowest person in your group. That was a little annoying, but it’s for safety and it’s still a fun time, and to get to say you rode atvs in the Mojave desert.

Half-Day Mojave Desert ATV Tour from Las Vegas
This tour was our family Las Vegas highlight and Dustin was an excellent tour guide and safety expert. The drive out to the desert was lovely and we were pointed out the sights en route. The ATVs themselves are fun to drive and the desert stunning at sunset.

Half-Day Mojave Desert ATV Tour from Las Vegas
I'm very bad at remember names but these two Guides were excellent. They shared awesome facts about the surrounding areas and were very patient when teaching how to properly ride and ATV. The guy was all about safety and I'm a fan. The girl was on her second day of training and she did a fantastic job. All around the views were gorgeous and the ATVs were easily functional. Thanks for an epic experience.
