The Basics

Book skip-the-line tickets to save time at the perennially popular Louvre or attend with an art expert guide for a more in-depth visit—art lovers and novices alike will benefit from such insight. Private tours are a good option for those with specific interests, while audio guides are also available. Alternatively, combine the Louvre with stops at the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Highlights of the antiquity section include the Seated Scribe and Venus de Milo. From the Renaissance, don't miss famous works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, and Titian. French 19th-century masterpieces include Gericault's The Raft of the Medusa and the work of David and Delacroix.

Louvre Museum Paris - Exclusive Guided Tour (Reserved Entry Included!)
This was the best guided tour of the Louvre. Our guide Dunya was kind, accommodating and incredibly knowledgeable; an in-depth knowledge of the art, the museum, and French history. We are grateful she shared her rich understanding and her ability to communicate in a way that quickly brought the artifacts to life before our eyes. If you can request Dunya do it.

Louvre Museum Ticket & Seine River Cruise
It was a great price to see the louvre and the Seine river cruise. On the Louvre Museum is a self guided tour. I recommend to go at night on the Seine River cruise tour to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night.

My group wanted to experience the Louvre in a minimal amount of time since we were not staying long in Paris. Our tour guide was excellent, hit the high points and guided us through the entry maze.

Such a great experience at the Louvre! Anna was our guide, and she was amazing and so very knowledgeable! We hit all the high points with Anna and then had time to see much more on our own thanks to her guidance. I highly recommend this to her and especially Anna as your guide.

Louvre Museum Guided Tour (Reserved Entry Included!) - Semi-Private 8ppl Max
Our tour guide Hugo was amazing! He knew the best entrance to avoid the crowds. We had six people in our group and I would never see the Louvre without doing a small group tour. We saw the highlights, learned a great deal about Art History and French history. Even my 15 year old daughter who only wanted to go shopping loved Hugo and our tour!

Paris Louvre Magnificent Museum Skip the Line Access Guided Tour
Fantastic tour, I feel so enlightened about the Louvre and its history. Highly recommend this tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and highlighted on just the right things for the tour. I will be back because the Louvre is so large but now I feel I can navigate it on my own.

Skip the Line: Louvre Museum with Guidance to the Mona Lisa
Rebecca was very inviting! She met us and another couple outside of a souvenir shop and walked us over to the Louvre, allowing time for pictures. Security was a breeze. Mona Lisa’s room was quite busy but we were able to get pretty close without waiting in line.

Underrated Artworks at the Louvre

Most visitors flock to the Mona Lisa, but the Louvre is so much more than da Vinci's moody muse. Make time for Ingres' Grande Odalisque, an 18th-century nude; the cheeky 16th-century Gabrielle d’Estrées and One of Her Sisters; and a Goya classic—The Countess del Carpio. You can even explore the ruins of the fortress upon which the Louvre is built.
