The artist, Frédéric Baron, wanted to give lovers a meeting place and began collecting the words “I love you” in as many languages as he could. Splashes of color on the dark-blue wall represent broken hearts.

The Wall of Love is located in Jehan Rictus Square in the Montmartre district of Paris.
