Granite Reef Kayaking Trip on the Lower Salt River

Granite Reef Kayaking Trip on the Lower Salt River

star-5
90
Starting at Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch, you and your group will kayak down a scenic thirteen mile stretch of river as it moves its way through the Tonto National Forest. Participants often witness wild horses, otters, birds and other wildlife that cool off in the river during the summer months. We have the special privilege of being the only kayak rental company located right on the Salt River, so our trips launch directly from our site. Each reservation includes a kayak or paddleboard rental, paddle, PFD (personal flotation device) and return shuttle to starting site. This is an UNGUIDED kayaking experience. While this is primarily a scenic float there are sections of swift water and kayakers often tip out – so be prepared to get wet.

Half Day Fly Fishing Private Trip in Phoenix

Half Day Fly Fishing Private Trip in Phoenix

Our canals have a rich history dating back to the Hohokam civilization that constructed canals to bring water to the bare desert. With over 150 miles of canals, they are minutes away from wherever you are in Phoenix. If you’re visiting Phoenix, any time of the year, book a quick, action packed trip with us. The state stocks White Amur aka grass carp into the canal as a way to keep moss and other vegetation down. And boy, do the grassy do their jobs well. They can consume their weight in vegetation daily and they are always feeding. Our canals stay pretty shallow and in that, they are fishable yearly. We usually dry fly for them or swing. These techniques are truly exclusive to Lo Water as we have designed, and tested the flies and techniques for this wonderful visual fishing experience. All our guides are Phoenicians and are on the water daily checking spots so we can give you the best opportunity. Book a trip today and see why we’re the only fly fishing guide service in Phoenix.
