Ways to visit Piazza dei Miracoli

Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles), also known as Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral Square), attracts throngs of visitors snapping pictures of the Leaning Tower, but the square is home to much more than this iconic landmark. The magnificent Duomo and baptistery are splendid examples of Pisan Romanesque architecture, the Monumental Cemetery (Camposanto Monumentale) is home to a pretty central courtyard and 14th-century frescoes, and the Opera del Duomo Museum holds an important collection of religious art.

This public square is one of the most popular destinations in Tuscany and is very crowded in the summer. Booking a skip-the-line Piazza dei Miracoli tour ahead of time helps avoid a long wait and enjoy priority admission to the cathedral, baptistery, and bell tower. Consider a Leaning Tower family tour if traveling with kids, or pair your Piazza dei Miracoli visit with a walking or bike tour of Pisa’s other attractions.

Beautiful location and the tower is stunning
The miracle square and leaning tower are beautiful and a must see bucket list for everyone. However, please note, if you are traveling with mobility changed guests, there is a significant walk from the bus parking to the miracle square, so plan to get a taxi from the parking area or use the trolley.

Information about Pisa & the tower itself where interesting. Disappointed that information provided by bus tour guide was read off her phone also at times she walked ahead so fast itresulting in group being split.

This was a fun, quick tour. You get a taste of the history of Pisa, the tower, and the Cathedral all in this tour. If you only want a taste and do not care much for the history, then this tour is for you. It is over so fast that you won't realize you were there! Overall, it was a fun, informative tour.

We had a great time on our tour of Pisa. The meeting point was easy to find and checking in was easy. The bus was nice and the ride was smooth and pretty short. We were impressed by Hilary and her multi-lingual abilities! Hilary was also great with our six year old daughter! The guide that did the cathedral tour (we think her name was Sarah) was also excellent. She was funny and informative! We would for sure recommend this trip if you have a morning or afternoon to spare!

The bell tower in Pisa and the Duomo and Piazza were amazing! The tour guides were fantastic. However, there is absolutely no time to take photos or relax and barely enough time to use the facilities given the constraints of the tour.

Pisa and Piazza dei Miracoli Half-Day Tour from Florence
Seeing the Tower of Pisa was everything we expected. Jacob did a wonderful job telling us about the area and then handed us off to some local guides who gave us more details. Unfortunately, we didn't get to climb the tower that day due to some scheduling issues, but the day was still a success because of how far Jacob went out of his way to help my family and me have a good time and make it to our next tour on time.

Love the trip but you can go on your own if you don’t mind the hassle! A half day tour with not much time to roam around there. Going there on your own may be a little hassle as it is far in .

Pisa and Piazza dei Miracoli Half-Day Tour from Florence
Pisa is very beautiful. I am really pleased that we decided to go on this trip. We had one tour guide on the coach which drove us to Pisa and one tour guide when we got to Pisa. Both were very good. We did the half day tour, as it was Winter. There was plenty of time to look around and have something to eat before we got the coach back to Florence.

The bus was clean and nice, the guides helpful and knowledgeable and Piza was great. Make sure you eat before you get to the bus stop. There is no food or shelter there.
