Things to Do in Pocono Mountains

Nested in the Poconos in northeastern Pennsylvania, Camelback Resort is one of the region’s most popular outdoor retreats. During the winter months, it draws skiers, snow tubers, and those looking to hit the slopes, while its two water parks, shopping and dining options, and outdoor summer activities round out the calendar.

Set against the backdrop of the Pocono Mountains, Camelbeach Mountain is a uniquely scenic waterpark and a place to have fun and take a break from the summer sun. The outdoor and indoor parks have 37 different rides and pools from which to enjoy the cool water, with varying levels of adventure and speed. Rides are divided into categories including thrill, family, and kids rides —and that’s in addition to the park’s adventure zone and zip line. There are both tube slides and body slides, as well as a lazy river and a lagoon for more relaxed swimming.
Families can enjoy multi-person raft rides together, or lounge poolside in a cabana. The park also has the country’s only duo bowl slide. With miniature tipping buckets, water slides, and sprinklers, kids find the themed water areas (suited for younger ages) particularly enjoyable.
Camelbeach is the only water park in Pennsylvania.
