Get medieval on this guided tour from Sienna to San Gimignano and Volterra. Head to the marvelously diminutive hilltop town of Monteriggioni and then stop for a while in UNESCO world Heritage-listed San Gimignano with its plethora of medieval towers and commanding views over the Tuscan countryside. Finally, spend some time in an alabaster workshop in Volterra before indulging in a rustic lunch at a Tuscan farm. Explore the Chianti region, and visit the magnificent town of Florence, the Capital of the Renaissance. In the morning we will arrive in Florence for a visit of the city. We will stop in the best panoramic place to photograph the Renaissance City (Piazzale Michelagelo). After we'll enter in the historic center of the town for a free visit of about 3 hours. (Stops: Palazzo Pitti - Ponte Vecchio - Piazza della Signoria - The Duomo - Piazza Santa Croce - San Lorenzo Market & more..) Later we'll drive inside the Chianti Region, that takes in the iconic landscape of a rolling hills, avenues of cypress trees and medieval hilltop towns. We'll drive through the vineyards of Chianti, along ancient pilgrimage trails. For lunch we'll feast in a typical Tuscan farm, tasting Lasangna, Pecorino cheese, Ham and the best Wines of our Region. Spend a day visiting Volterra with its splendid Roman Theater and the "Beautiful Towers" of San Gimignano. A trip from the Etruscan period to the Renaissance. A wonderful experience among wine, local food, vineyards, olive trees and rows of cypresses in the most genuine Tuscany. Itinerary: • Meet your driver at your location • 1st stop in Volterra, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Tuscany, visit of the Historic City and the Roman Theatre. • For lunch we will move to a Tuscan farm, to understand the secrets of wine production and enjoy a tuscan lunch with 5 wine tastings • After lunch we will drive through the rolling hills of Chianti, among olive groves, cypresses and vineyards to the medieval town of San Gimignano • We will visit the magnificent Towers of the city and discover the legend of the Black Rooster.
