A day on SV Speranza, a comfortable 1980's racer cruiser During the day we will provide a freshly prepared lunch and drinks and snacks throughout the day. A tour of the local seascape where you will see the outlines of the islands of Gorgona, Capraia, Elba and perhaps Corsica. The more adventurous may want to take part in the sail (conditions permitting) being able to take the helm, raise, sheet and lower the sails and more. We can pause for a ocean swim if required where we also have a paddle board available. Day can be tailored to your needs (duration and start time). Follow us inside the rolling Tuscan landscape, amidst wine, art, Middle Ages, Renaissance and history visiting Cortona and "the secret underground cellars" of Montepulciano. You will taste the best wines of our Region and meal with a typical tuscan lunch. The beautiful and untouched landscape is the absolute protagonist in Val d' Orcia. This area of Tuscany boasts of endless rolling hills covered with grain or sunflowers, a rich green valley which encompasses the Orcia river. First we will explore the South of Tuscany and visit the Medieval town of Cortona. Later we'll visit the "Underground Wonders" of Montepulciano (The Historic Cellars of the city) where you will find gigantic oak barrels, in which the famous Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG “rest”. In Montepulciano we'll have also a first and a second wine tasting experience in two differerent cellars, with a delicious tuscan lunch. Enjoy an immersive Wine experience, where you’ll get to taste a range of local wines paired with local delicacies. The experience takes place in the home of a local professional Wine Taster from ONAV (the Italian Association of Wine Tasters). Together with your host you will: - Learn the fundamentals of wine tasting in order to detect, understand and enjoy its different notes and aromas. - Taste 6 different wines: Brunello di Montalcino, Bolgheri, Bolgheri rosato, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Moscadello, Vin Santo del Chianti (or similar wines) . Your selected wines will be paired with the finest local specialties: a table of cold cuts and cheese or vegetarian appetizers. If you do not finish the wine during the tasting session, don’t worry... You can take it back home and enjoy it afterwards! You will have the pleasure to enjoy an exclusive private experience.
