Ways to visit Victoria Butterfly Gardens

Walk through a maze of flamingo ponds and blooming orchids as butterflies flit about at this family-friendly attraction, which brings some tropical heat to Vancouver Island. Visiting the Victoria Butterfly Gardens is an included stop on some tours—often combined with paddling trips, general sightseeing, or wildlife activities—but it’s also possible to book tickets for an independent trip through the gardens.

Day trip Victoria
I booked this tour for an 8 hour day trip around Victoria. We were hooked up with Darwin from Surfside Adventure Tours. Excellent host and driver. He customized our trip to accommodate all the things we wanted to see while in port. He was also very helpful with one of our guest who required alittle extra assistance in and out of the van. His knowledge of Victoria was amazing and he took us to many sites that most don't get to see. I highly recommend this group tour. Thank you Darwin for an excellent time.

The Vancouver Island rain forest draws travelers from across the globe, but those trees are lush for a reason: lots of rain. The Victoria Butterfly Gardens are great to visit when it’s raining in Victoria, and there’s plenty more to keep visitors entertained. When the weather gets wet, check out historic Craigdarroch Castle, go whale watching in a covered boat, or book a wine tasting tour of the Saanich Peninsula.
