Very informative visit....
Very informative visit. Really enjoyed it. Videos very well done also. Highlight for me was the display of embroidered vestments which are so well preserved.

The vestments in a darkened room behind glass were very interesting. Medieval is not my favorite history. My cousin really enjoyed the time live of kings

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Waterford. So much history and a neat collection of items! We did the self guided tour and it took about 45 minutes as stated! I highly recommend the Viking VR experience as well. It’s right down the street from the museum but tickets can be purchased inside the museum.

The Viking Triangle

The Medieval Museum sits within Waterford’s Viking Triangle, a historic area of the city once enclosed by Viking walls. Among its biggest attractions are its three museums—Reginald’s Tower, the Medieval Museum, and Bishop’s Palace—which together are known as the Waterford Treasures. Other vestiges of the past, including the scant ruins of the 13th-century Franciscan Friary at Greyfriars and the 18th-century Christ Church Cathedral, hint at the former importance of this port city.
