"This tour combines a Guatemala City tour with an experience at Pacaya volcano. It was completely worth the cost. Our tour guide Esteban was a chill knowledgeable local who spoke fluent English. We enjoyed learning about the cultural and political history of Guatemala, the street food in the historic center, and the variety of goods for sale at Mercado central de Guatemala. The latter part of the tour took us on an exhilarating hike at the Pacaya volcano. We hiked to the base camp and on the lava field, where we explored the landscape, roasted marshmallows, and baked an impressively delicious pizza in the lava stone oven! We had an amazing and adventurous day. I highly recommend this tour. It’s worth the money."

"I was the only one in this walking tour so I got a lot of one on one attention. I enjoyed getting to know Antigua a bit better. You will be walked to the jade place and also to a Mayan woman weaver to "learn" and also hopefully buy - but a firm no a few times stopped that. For some, that may be uncomfortable."

"This was the highlight of my trip. Learned to make dobladas, pepián de pollo and rellenitos de plantain. Guatemalan food isn't prevalent in Antiguan restaurants for some strange reason, so I was happy to have this experience with a great group of people and engaging hosts. It's a food tour, but the drinks were also flowing :) 10/10!"

"The views itself were beautiful, but what really made the experience memorable were our tour guides. We had Lester/Josh tour us on the ATV- he was very knowledgeable on the areas, friendly and tailored the experience to my group of 5. For the volcano portion, we had Rodolfo- you can quickly tell that he enjoyed his job and was very good at it. Both guides were some of the best and wouldn’t recommend anybody else. The hike itself was a bit rough due to the terrains and windy weather conditions, but it was well worth it!!"

"We left from Antigua and our driver was friendly and knowledgeable and stopped in a small village on the way for us to take pictures. He would have made additional stops as well upon request. The guide, Cesar, was very interesting and gave a wonderful look into the lives of Guatemalen people, as well as gave good information on the local flora, fauna and volcanos (recent and prior eruptions and lava flows). Great trip."

"Fantastic day trip from Antigua. Worth getting up early. Our driver was safe and skilled. Our tour guide, Nicolas (can’t say his Mayan name) was great and knew everything about the lake. Excellent English. Lake Atitlán looks like Switzerland or Lombardy - it’s gorgeous. And it has volcanoes. All three towns we visited were safe and interesting - highly recommend!"

"Moises was an excellent guide for this trip! He really made sure the day was personalized to my friend and I. We were picked up in time and stopped for breakfast at a great local restaurant on the way. At Chichi, Moises gave us a tour of the church, different areas of the market, and a nearby cemetery. He have plenty of detail on everything that was happening and local customs/beliefs. We had time to shop by ourselves and met up with Moises and our driver to head to Iximche. Moises was very thoughtful and made sure we had opportunity to eat and use a restroom. At Iximche Moises talked about the history, explained the different structures, and took great photos for us! On the return to Antigua we asked for his restaurant recommendation and he dropped us off at a wonderful steak house near the main square of Antigua. I highly recommend this tour and MOISES!"
