With more than 15 bars and restaurants to choose from, there’s something to suit all tastes, including a pizzeria, a sushi bar, a grillhouse, a seafood restaurant, and a Mexican restaurant, along with a Bavarian-style beer garden and cocktail bar. Couple it with a post-dinner stroll along the riverfront walkways, or for the best views enjoy a romantic cruise along the Brisbane River—showboat cruises and CityCat ferries also leave from the Eagle Street Pier.

*Foodies will find some of Brisbane’s most popular restaurants along Eagle Street Pier. *Most cafés and restaurants along the Eagle Street Pier open daily between about 10am and 11.30apm, and close between 9pm and 10pm. Many stay open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. *The pier is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers; most restaurants also provide access.
How to get there
Eagle Street Pier is located in the heart of downtown Brisbane and is easily reached on foot. The closest train station is Central Station, a five-minute walk away, while those with their own transport can park at the Wilson Car Park right by the pier. CityCat and City Hopper ferries stop at the Eagle Street Pier terminal, just a few minutes’ walk from the restaurants.

When to get there
Eagle Street Pier is always a lively spot, especially in the evening, but it’s most popular on Friday nights, when restaurant reservations are recommended. Alternatively, head there on a Sunday between about 8am and 3pm, when a clothing and handicrafts market is held along the waterfront.
Brisbane’s Best Riverside Views
As well as dining with a view at Eagle Street Pier, there are plenty of other ways to admire the views along the Brisbane River. Explore the Brisbane River Walk on a bike or Segway tour, hike up to Kangaroo Point cliffs, or head to Southbank for a ride on the Wheel of Brisbane. Alternatively, soak up the scenery from the water on a kayak or stand-up paddleboard, set sail on a sightseeing cruise, or tackle the famous Story Bridge climb and gaze out along the river from the top of the bridge.
