The best fun in the sun!
The whole day was fabulous. The organisers didn't waste any time getting us into activities. Loved the variety of things to do - but the snorkelling around the wrecks was the highlight for us. Very professional and great value for money.

Moreton Island Day Trip (Kayak, Snorkel & Sandboard) frm Brisbane or Gold Coast
Great fun. I tried sandboarding, snorkelling and kayaking with my friend. Moreton Island is a good place for outdoor activities, and the water is clear. We had simple lunch. Please remember to wear sunscreen.

Moreton Island Day Trip (Kayak, Snorkel & Sandboard) frm Brisbane or Gold Coast
Really enjoyed our trip to Moreton island! The team were amazing and really helped calm my nerves when taking part in the sandboarding (you have to give it a go!). The day didn’t feel too rushed until the kayaking which we did last and didn’t enjoy as much because it felt like there were too many kayaks in a small area and not much actual kayaking. Snorkelling was the best part and we got to see a wobbergong shark! The food was also good with wraps and snacks.

Snorkeling the wrecks was the highlight. Visibility was great. The marine cruise was already fully booked which was unexpected, considering that I took the first available ferry over.

Dolphin Feeding Day Cruise to Tangalooma Island Resort on Moreton Island
Great trip to Moreton Island. There's a lot of time to spend at the resort. The ferry ride is about 90 minutes. The included activities were good though I wished to see more on the Marine Discovery Tour. The shipwrecks had most of the fish and there were a few turtles on the way. The dolphin feeding is something I didn't like. About 50-70 people were wIting in 5 lines to give the dolphin some fish they could easily get on the shore. This activity lastesd fo more than 45 minutes and delayed the departure of the ferry.

Moreton Island Snorkel and Sandboarding 4WD Day Trip from Brisbane
My friend and I spent one day at Moreton Island: we landed with the ferry directly on the beach, the sand desert is cool, sandboarding is super fun! The beach is really beautiful and the snorkeling an unbelieved experience!

Cruise in Moreton Bay Marine Park and Moreton Island
One of the best tour guides I have been to, it’s a family run business but the staff are incredibly friendly and treat your like family the moment you walk in. Guided snorkelling was fun as but you have to a strong swimmer, the ocean water gets a bit chilly but annahilise and the safety staff take good care of you (in case you drown) but nonetheless it was superb experience snorkelling around the shipwreck and feeding the fish. Lunch was served onboard with morning tea. Only tip is to bring cash as no eftpos services is available for alcoholic drinks. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful trip experience. 5/5 tour experience.

Moreton Island Day Trip (Kayak, Snorkel & Sandboard) frm Brisbane or Gold Coast
This experience certainly exceeded my expectations. I did all the activities and wow, it was so much fun! The only thing I can suggest is to take loads of sunscreen and note there is little time to relax, enjoy the sun and do your own thing (unless you are not doing one of the activities). We took our own snacks but didn't touch them as the activities were back to back to back so no time to eat them. The lunch is simple but hearty so we were not hungry anyway.

When to Get There

Water temperatures rarely drop below 70°F (21°C), making it comfortable to swim year-round at Moreton Island. The summer months (November to February) are warmest and busiest. Visiting out of season can mean cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and better deals on tours and accommodations, while wildlife enthusiasts may want to visit during the whale-watching season (June to October).

Off-Road on Moreton Island

Snorkeling the Tangalooma Wrecks and feeding wild dolphins are popular activities, but there are island adventures to be had off the beaten track. Climb the Mount Tempest sand dune for an unforgettable coastal view; visit the historic Cape Moreton Lighthouse; take a dip in the Blue Lagoon or the Champagne Pools; or hike among World War II ruins along the Rous Battery track.
