Great way to see the aquarium

Cairns Aquarium by Twilight Tour
Our tour guide was Mykelah. She was outstanding. So personal le, knowledgeable and full of energy. She told us some facts and fun stories related to what we were seeing. Having a private, small group tour was great and we got up close to the fish. Definitely a must do and ask for Mykelah.

I'm from another country and always like to visit local zoos and aquariums on vacation. Laura was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot about the local aquatic life.

Great Tour, Restaurant has room for improvement
Brianna_J, Nov. 2022
Cairns Aquarium by Twilight Tour and 3-Course Dinner
Your was amazing however if you are a solo traveller it is very easy to get bored. So recommended bringing people with you. The range of animals at the aquarium was great and to hear about the ecosystems was very knowledgeable. The three course dinner at Dundee’s on the other hand needs to fix their portion sizes. I had the warm beef salad for entree and it was way too big. Entree is meant to be lite to compliment the main however the entree took over. Main was good ( Black Angus sirloin) however the size again was an issue. Remember there are 3 courses and everyone needs room for dessert. Mushroom topping with spinach and herbs was unappealing and tasted horrible. Could just be my opinion. Dessert was amazing (Chocolate and Kahalu tart) however a customer should be able to use their dessert spoon to collect the tart case with filling. I was unable to break the tart with the spoon so had to eat filling alone. Recommend making the casing softer. Wine selection was great. Wait staff should not be standing behind customers gossiping. Their role is to serve the customer not stand around looking pretty. When serving a customer water ask if they’d like more water rather than just pouring it, this makes customers feel obligated to have more which is not how customers should feel. However with these adjustments this restaurant would be excellent.

Great value for the price

Great value for the price and if you have a few hours available. Note that once you get your ticket confined through viator, you will still need to go to customer service ticketing desk to pick-up aquarium issued tickets to enter turnstile for the aquarium.
