"Amazing experiences in the rainforest during a torrential downpour. Homemade food, DIY chocolate and coffee. What more could you ask for? Well, let's not forget the biologist!!! Holy smokes we were impressed! We learned so much. Our tour guides were true experts and taught us so much about the eco systems here in the Santa Marta area. They spoke almost perfect English as well. I do suggest that you tip the guides right after they finish with you because they take off and you won't see them again and they do such an amazing job. I will say that it is maybe a little more than a moderate walk, bring bug spray, wear tennis shoes. It was a pretty rigorous walk and I have 2 bad knees so it was hard. But I am so so glad I did it. I highly, highly recommend. A couple things: pick up location, we had to call a couple times and they were late. We think this had to do with Viator as a website. Also, you will be picked up in a taxi."
