Castelletto di Branduzzo trip ideas
Rev your engine and get ready for a high-speed adventure in Castelletto di Branduzzo, home to one of the most famous race tracks near Milan. Motorheads and racing enthusiasts flock here to clock laps at the wheel of an iconic Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, or BMW sports car or to race on board single-seater legend cars. A popular test track for professional drivers, the Castelletto di Branduzzo circuit is also a prime spot for spotting rally, Formula One, and super cars perform during time-trial runs.
Known for its world-class autodrome, Castelletto di Branduzzo bustles during racing season, which runs from March to October. It’s especially busy during stretches of dry, clear weather, which is optimal for test runs. If you’re a racing fan, check the track’s schedule before coming. There are a number of races and other car- and motorcycle-related events in the spring and fall that draw both racing enthusiasts and gearheads.
There is no public transportation to the Castelletto di Branduzzo autodrome from nearby towns and cities, so the only way to reach the track is by renting a car. The nearest town with car rental agencies is Pavia, which is located about an hour to the north. You can catch a train to Pavia from Milan or other other major northern city; car rental agencies are located in the city center.
Just up the road from the Castelletto Circuit autodrome, the Sette Laghi go-kart track offers revved-up fun for gearheads too young to get behind the wheel of a racecar. Kids nine and up can zoom around the track to see how many laps they can clock during their eight-minute turn, then fuel up with lunch at the track’s restaurant before taking on the circuit again.
