The Pacaya Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in Guatemala, with a height of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level. The environment is made up of wet forests and rocks. It has stunning views of the Calderas Lagoon and three other volcanoes: Agua,Fuego, and Acatenango. On our unique Adventure we will take ATVs from San Vicente Pacaya to various areas near and around the Pacaya Volcano. We will go on various trails to some of the villages located at the base of the volcano, where we are able to hike to the cráter and basically drive and walk on the Petrified lava. Throughout the tour we will be able to admire different views of the volcanoes and villages, drive through different off road trails, and we will even take some time to warm up our marshmallows, chocolate and even a slice of pizza from the steam coming out of the petrified rocks. The trails, stops, and views can vary depending on the season and how active the volcano is during that time.

This tour is a combination of culture and adventure. We will take you to visit the villages around Antigua on an ATV. You will have the opportunity to drive your own ATV or ride as a passenger accompanying one of your family or friends who is going. Learn about Mayan textiles in San Antonio Aguas Calientes Town. Visit the first formal city of Guatemala, called Ciudad Vieja, and its church, which in 1534 was the first cathedral in Central America. The beautiful town of San Pedro Las Huertas will be waiting for us with open arms. Here we will learn about the elaboration of jewelry made with jade. A chocolate factory as well as visiting an iconic bakery where they make loquat bread will be waiting for us in the town of San Juan del Obispo. Finally, we will go to the famous Cerro de la Cruz, recently remodeled. We will have lunch at a restaurant with delicious traditional Guatemalan dishes located on El Hato hill. *All ATV drivers will need to show a valid driver´s license
