Start with a fun tractor ride to the start of the zipline course, then enjoy zooming along ten cables strung through the treetops. Continue the adventure by taking control of an ATV and riding along forest and riverside trails. Prepare to get muddy.

We hike uphill through a lush jungle in daylight and look for different animals such as toucans, sloths, monkeys and various species of birds. At the top of the hill you are treated with a wonderful view of the ocean, the jungle and the sunset (weather permitting). Afterwards we walk down the hill looking for nocturnal wildlife. The area we discover is a private reserve so this an exclusive adventure. Our naturalist tour guides are very experienced and officially certified by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism (ICT). Adventure travelers will love this tour, waking up at 3am to drive 10,000 feet above elevation in search of the Quetzal with your guide, and then learning all about Costa Rican coffee in the town of Santa Maria de Dota. You’ll have a traditional gallo pinto breakfast, and another meal, or casado, later in the day. You’ll use ATX or BTX Swarovski Spotting Scopes to capture photos and videos of the beautiful birds, too, on this 14 hour day out.

An ATV tour of Carara National Park lets you explore off-the-beaten-path of this Costa Rican gem. After a safety and instructional briefing, take your ATV on a guided tour along rugged jungle trails, past teak plantations, and over 14 river crossings, stopping to admire views and beaches along the way. Then, head down the Tarcoles River on a boat tour for a chance to spot crocodiles, monkeys, and more.
