"Vladimir took my boyfriend and I for a tour of La Leona Waterfall. It was easily one of the best days of our trip to Costa Rica! The entire walk through the woods and streams to get the the waterfall was gorgeous and Vladimir made an extra effort to help me get through difficult areas. In my opinion, this was a medium to advanced level excursion that I never would have dared to try to do on my own but Vladimir made it super easy and fun and always made sure we were taken care of. What an amazing tour guide! Super recommend this tour and make sure to request for Vladimir - he is the best!!"

"Our tour guide Berny Sanchez was so fantastic. He is knowledgeable and has a passion for birding and nature that is truly contagious. I got so many amazing pictures on the hike but unfortunately this site only lets you post ten pics. Observing the tiny Ferruginous Pygmy Owl and the Gartered Trogon were truly life sightings. We also saw a male and female black-throated Trogon and took a video of the male displaying himself to get the females attention which was an amazing site to see. You can see from the pics that we really had an incredible day. At the end of the best birding tour of my life, Berny took us for an authentic Costa Rican meal and I can honestly say it was the most delicious meal I had the entire trip and I did eat at some fantastic places. After the tour, we booked Berny for a private tour of Manuel Antonio. When you are with Berny, you really feel like you are with the best and you will get too see the most during your time with him. Definitely request him if you can."

"This was the best tour I've experienced during my week long visit in Costa Rica! We met our guide, Andy, at the Commercial center. He drove us to the Monteverde Cloud Forest and stopped along the way to share interesting facts about the area. Once we entered the Cloud Forest, Andy was able to show us lots of wildlife and even made sure we saw a quetzal which was on our wish list :) He brought extra rain ponchos for us, provided binoculars, and on the way back stopped for us to view out the sunset and grab a coffee at a local shop. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend this tour."

"Great birding and bird photography with Randall, who’s a very knowledgeable biologist and excellent photographer and knows the mangrove forest habitat extremely well. We had such a great time watching magnificent frigate birds fighting over fish, a pair of mating black hawks, a ringed kingfisher catching fish, and several species of birds we came to the Tarcoles river to see and many more (mangrove humming bird, Panama flycatcher, northern scrub flycatcher, mangrove warbler…). As we turned around to return to the dock, I casually mentioned that we didn’t get to see the American Pygmy kingfisher yet, Randall replied that we could try, and worked with the captain to go slowly along the river to look for it. And they found it! We had three cameras, by me and my 7- and 9-year old boys, all amateur beginners mostly working in auto mode, and we all had a wonderful time and learned a great deal from Randall. We ended up going to the botanical garden up in the mountains with him the same afternoon - again had a great time watching the scarlet macaws nesting there and flying by the observation deck outside the restaurant, other species in the gardens (toucans, golden-naped woodpecker…) and the spectacular views. Highly recommended."
