In addition to enjoying views of the Chicago River (if the weather is good, you’ll be able to walk along it), plus a delicious local treat! Chicago’s Pedway is a system of underground tunnels and passageways that are laid out underneath the city so you can get from one end of the Loop to the other without ever going outside. We begin at the Cultural Center and after viewing the famous Tiffany dome, we descend into the Pedway which takes us past murals, stained glass windows and into Macy’s where we view yet another Tiffany masterpiece on the ceiling. After a brief stop at a new food hall, we return to the Pedway and follow it west as it intersects with two of Chicago’s busiest subway stations, the Richard J. Daley Civic Center, City Hall/Cook County Building, and the James R. Thompson Center. We then head north to Chicago’s Riverwalk, a park-like property that is also an entertainment district with bars, cafes, etc. Along the Riverwalk, we pass some of Chicago’s most iconic buildings and historical landmarks then back to the Pedway to end our tour.
