"I kept getting reminders for my excursion departure at 0600 on day I booked. I have done Viator many times without incident .I had no reason to doubt my booking but had a weird feeling I wanted more detail as to departure as all they said was wharf . At Santa Cruz that is not specific so I called Nature Galapagos the provider listed on my ticket . They initially said I was not on the list and then they found my name . I spent over 500 Canadian!!! They were able to book me 2 days later on a fabulous yacht the Windrose. It was luxurious the guide excellent we saw penguins the view fabulous. The crew and food excellent. I happened to have flexibility - most people coming here don’t spend over 2 weeks. Deal with providers directly - there are Facebook groups that are full of great tips with companies. You can also show up and book - maybe not when it’s high season. I had 2 cancellations so I booked other trips withDiscovery Galapagos. So booking a nightmare but trip excellent you could probably get it cheaper dealing with companies."

"Pinzon is a great experience. The first part of the trip has sea turtles, sea lions, sharks, and schools of colorful fish. I thought the second part with the beach was a bit slower-paced area where you could swim around or lounge on the beach with the iguanas and sea lions."

"It was nice to get out of town and see nature. Pickup on time by Jaime, and he was fantastic and professional. Its a little bumpy of a ride, but so exhilarating once you arrive. I recommend long sleeve shirt, long pants, and sturdy water sandals. Great boat ride in the Mangrove Forest. Interesting hike later in the jungle, looking for howler monkeys. Then we had a short cacoa demonstration. Last was a authentic Ecuadorian lunch at a local restaurant. Thank you Jamie."

"Where do I even begin?! Our tour guide, Jo, was incredible. He taught us so much about Ecuadorian culture in a fun way. Renee, our bus driver took us from Quito to Mindo and back again safely. Jo was so incredibly kind, patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The teleferico cable car in the cloud forest was so much fun - we were able to fit 7 people safely. The hiking tour through the rainforest was scenic and Jo explained fun facts and uses of the plants that you can find in the Amazon rain forest and demonstrated how to use them. It was so fascinating! The chocolate your at Yumbos was so much fun and we had an amazing time trying all the chocolate, learning the process of how it’s made, and eating the delicious brownie and hot chocolate! It’s all made fresh with 100% cacao and you can really tell the difference in quality. It puts American hot chocolate and brownies to shame. The hummingbird and butterfly tour was a nice resting period. Seeing the different stages of metamorphosis was fascinating. Jo and Renee were kind enough to take us on a short detour to view the original Mitad del Mundo that was provided by the French. Thank you, Jo, for an incredible experience and for being the kindest.
