We take motivated individuals, band them together, and backpack nearly a mile below the rim hiking rugged Grand Canyon terrain to sleep and swim on secluded beaches of the Colorado River. Our spring and fall treks traverse up to 30 miles on some of the most remote, least-traveled routes in the Canyon. All of our Grand Canyon Challenge experiences traverse remote and rugged South Rim inner-canyon loops between the Rim and River. Individual experience levels, group size, as well as permit allowances, will determine which routes will be run on which dates to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip for all. Each Grand Canyon Challenge backpacking experience is all inclusive, and open to fit and motivated individuals of all ages. Enjoy a carefree day in the Grand Canyon National Park! Our experienced, knowledgeable guides use a high-powered spotting scope to show guests amazing up-close views of the Colorado River, whitewater rapids, rock formations, hikers, mules and wildlife. Your guide will interpret what you are seeing, as well as the geology, history, and native people of the region. We take you to our favorite viewpoints while avoiding the crowds as much as possible! A picnic-style lunch on the rim is provided by Wildflower Bread Company, and included in the price of the tour. Specialty snacks and drinks are provided in the vehicle throughout the day. Private Grand Canyon Daily Tours are customized to fit our guests' individual needs! You will travel with your guide from Flagstaff to the south rim in a 2022 Ford Transit Passenger Van. We stop at numerous viewpoints throughout the park, and use a high-powered spotting scope to show our guests up-close views of the Colorado River, whitewater rapids, rock formations, mules, hikers, and wildlife. Your guide will interpret what you are seeing, as well as the geology, history, and native people of the region. We take you to our favorite viewpoints while avoiding the crowds as much as possible! For lunch, guests have the option of a sit-down lunch at the historic El Tovar Dining Room, or a picnic-style lunch provided by Wildflower Bread Company. Lunch is included in the price of the tour.
