Downtown Flagstaff Haunted History Tour

Downtown Flagstaff Haunted History Tour

star-4.5
162
Explore Flagstaff’s haunted history on this walking tour. Eccentric guides will show guests a side of this town seldom seen before. Learn about the robberies, murders, and suicides that rocked this town to it’s core. Flagstaff was once a sleepy railroad settlement at the base of Mount Humphries. How did it survive to become a town with ghosts rather than a ghost town? Colorful characters from the town’s past and the buildings they labored to create are the subject of amusing anecdotes and ghostly tales in historic downtown. The 1926 train depot and Hotel Monte Vista are not only of historic note–both buildings are known as supernatural hotspots. The sad tragic story of Marie Walkup and her murdered children is set in 1930s Flagstaff and is a chilling reminder of life’s uncertainties. Don’t let that overshadow the mischievous and curious spirits whose stories are shared! On this tour, due to the length of stories and number of stops, we will not be entering any historic haunts.

Mountain Town Of Madness, Original *Adult Only* Haunted Downtown Flagstaff Tour

This is darker than our standard tour. Feel the presence of the pioneers and the town’s forefathers (and mothers!) as you walk the sidewalks of historic downtown. Chill to tales of ghostly spectors, murderous villains and past tragedies, all told by an eccentric and ethereal guide. Flagstaff, Arizona was once a sleepy little railroad settlement at the base of Mount Humphries. It managed to survive and thrive and today is a town with ghosts, rather than a ghost town. Meet John Weatherford, eccentric builder of both the Orpheum Theatre and iconic Weatherford Hotel. Smile at kindly Dr. Raymond, beloved town physician, who built his home and offices on Leroux St. The 1926 train depot and Hotel Monte Vista are not only of historic note–both buildings are known as supernatural hotspots. Shiver at the tragic story of Marie Walkup and her murdered children that occcured during the town’s 1937 hey-day. And shake your head at the 1988 trial in which the Skin Walker defense prevailed.

Grand Canyon Hiking Adventure with an Expert Guide
"Evan's experiences working for the Civilian Conservation Corps and specifically on the trails in the Grand Canyon make him an Expert on all aspects of this Adventure. As soon as we met him at our hotel in Tusayan, his big smile and outgoing personality made us feel instantly comfortable and eager to begin our exploration. Our first stop was at the rim overlooking the Awesomeness of the Grand Canyon, I quickly asked Evan to take a picture of us with my cell phone and he replied, "Due to covid, I will be happy to take all photos of you with my cell phone and post them on my website." At every turn, Evan was two steps ahead of us (literally and figuratively) showing extreme caution and concern for our well being and safety. This was our second time visiting the Canyon, both of us had visited when we were young children and did not remember that you travel through a forest to reach the rim. Along the way, Evan pointed out specific trees and showed us how and where the topography changed. He really gave us a heightened appreciation of all of the Beauty and Splendor that Nature provides. We hiked part way down Bright Angel trail and Evan took many excellent candid photos that look great on his website. He also provided many suggestions of other trails and sights that all proved to be extraordinary."..."
