"We had such an amazing time with Viva Safari. This was our first safari ever and it really raised the bar quite high. Viva Safari's staff were incredible, kind, entertaining, and so wise about the animals and the environment. Not only did we see the big 5 (Rhino, Leopard, Lion, Buffalo, Elephant) but we learned so much about each of them and all the other animals we saw (hyena, impala, bush buck, hippo, bush chicken, wildebeest, Tawny eagle, vulture, lilac breasted roller...). The accommodations were decent, the food was delicious, and there was ample water and refreshments throughout our stay. We had so much fun and learned so much from our guides Victor and Smiley. We opted for the 4 day safari. Some people did 3, others did 6+. There are many options, which makes Viva even more appealing. They picked us up and returned us to our hotel in Johannesburg at the beginning and end of our safari as well. These rides as well were wonderful and included a great lunch stop in Dullstroom at a restaurant called Mayfly."

We stayed at the Bakubung Lodge which was beautiful, the food included was amazing, great scenery great service, so much so we requested to stay another night. "I'm not much of the type to do proper tours and tend to prefer to self-drive, but had a small window and went against my usual route and turns out didn't regret it. Went out with Sammy the first day and Breton the others. Both were very friendly, knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. Great option if you're wanting a wholistic tour that isn't entirely revolved around chasing the big 5 (though we did see them all) but getting knowledge of the nature and some unexpected things. Meals were better than expected, especially given that especially on viator, there isn't a ton of detail on any of that, I was expecting bottom of the barrel. If you're wanting a ton of time in the actual kruger park, maybe better to go with the 5-day because you really only have 1 full day in the actual park itself, but that can be seen in the itinerary. First two days are definitely jam packed with the other 2 being a bit more relaxed and light on activity so also keep that in mind."

"Experiencing the wonder of Kruger National Park was the best part of my trip. I am a 62 year old woman and people who run this camp were just amazing, always making sure I was comfortable and happy. We had delicious meals outside under the African sky. All of the guest had meals together and it felt more like a family gathering then a “hotel” The safari guides were the main ingredient for a great Kruger Experience. They provided so much education regarding the animals and the park. It was clearly obvious how much pride they had in their jobs and in Kruger. This trip to South Africa didn’t start too well, but because of Lloyd my trip ended with so much happiness! I would 100% recomend these guys for an authentic, honest and ethical safari experience!
