"What a lovely day we had with Carlos and Elsya (husband and wife team of Carelsytours company). During our shopping at the Central Market in Zihuatanejo, Carlos explained to us the history of his home town and answered our many questions about the market and the food we were seeing. After stopping to purchase some treats at a great local bakery and a short drive around the downtown area we were taken to a lovely restaurant in La Ropa where our class was held outside in a lovely garden. The cooking class was a wonderful experience. Elsya who led our cooking class is truly a gem. We could tell she loves to share her knowledge and experiences in cooking with others and does it in such an inviting manor. On our way home from the cooking class Carlos took us back to the market where he assisted me in the purchase of a molcajete. The food was excellent and our time spent with Elysa and Carlos is definintely a highlight of our trip to Ixtapa. A must do on your trip to Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo."
