Jeju trip ideas
Funded by the life savings of an Amercian professor at Jeju University, Jeju Kimnyoung Maze Park highlights important symbols or landmarks of the island. Different parts of the maze are shaped to resemble six different things, which include the coastline of Jeju and a snake’s head.
Some sightseeing tours and shore excursions include stops at the maze, due to its equidistant location between Manjanggul Lava Tube and Gimnyeongsagul Cave. Other attractions usually visited in conjunction with the maze include the Haenyeo Museum and the Sangumburi Crater. Choose a sightseeing tour with included transportation for climate-controlled comfort between attractions.
A great outdoor options for families on Jeju Island during the summer months.
Plan your visit for about one hour to complete the maze and enjoy the skywalks and observatory.
Restrooms and a convenience store are on site.
Free parking is available for private vehicles.
The hours of Jeju Kimnyoung Maze Park vary throughout the year and are dependent on the season; the maze opens at 8:30am and closes at 6:30pm, 6pm, 7pm, and 5:30pm in spring, summer, fall, and winter respectively.
From Jeju International Airport take bus No. 100 and get off at the Intercity Bus Terminal. From here, take a bus bound for Manjanggul Cave and get off at the parking lot by the cave entrance—the trip normally takes about 50 minutes. To avoid navigating public transportation, opt for a sightseeing tour that includes transport.
Manjanggul Lava Tube, located a short drive from Jeju Kimnyoung Maze Park, is a must-visit on Jeju Island. Manjanggul is one of the longest lava tubes in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can walk through the lava tubes via an illuminated walkway that reveals stalactites, stalagmites, and the rare species of bat that inhabit the caverns.
