We have renovated our tea ceremony room only for using tea ceremony. You will sit on tatami but you don’t need to sit in straight. We have cushions and chairs for you if you needed. Ninja culture is not something visitors to Japan can just easily immerse themselves in, but this 2-hour, hand-on lesson offers an exclusive experience. In a small group of no more than six people, learn ninja techniques including ninja breathing, ninja meditation, and how to wield a ninja sword.

One of the best souvenirs any traveler can bring back from Japan is the ability to make and appreciate authentic Japanese sushi. Get up to speed with the art of making sushi, Japanese soup and pickled ginger during this small group cooking class. We will take you through the steps of making sushi starting with preparing the lightly vinegared rice and finishing off with the perfect sushi roll! Together we will be making various types of sushi including Temaki-zushi which you will be able to prepare when you get back home! At the end of the workshop everyone will be given a new sushi rolling mat (which is essential for making sushi!) and a recipe card to make sushi again so you can prepare some for your friends and family back home!

Would you like to brew your own delicious tea? In most tea ceremony workshops, you are not allowed to handle tea utensils. However, in the hands-on classes we host, you can actually touch the utensils and learn the process of brewing tea from scratch. The instructor is a master of the Higashi Abe school. They have taught many students, so they will gently and carefully teach you how to make tea. You are also welcome to take as many pictures as you like to make your experience memorable.
