"We went in 2 groups of adults and children, ages 8, 10, 11 and 16. Our guide has a passion for the animals and the work he does at the centre. Learning about how the animals ended up with them was heartbreaking but the way they’re cared for and prepared for release back to the wild is amazing. As an added bonus, after the tour we prepared meals for the animals and delivered them to their cages. It was a wonderful addition to our learning experience. We highly recommend this tour."

"This was one of my favorite experiences in Costa Rica! Our main guide was David who explained everything clearly beforehand. I was very nervous because I had never repelled down waterfalls before. David and the rest of the guides were super supportive and helpful to me and everyone else. I thought I would struggle a lot but after the first waterfall, I felt a lot more confident. There were some others in our group who were struggling more with climbing down the mountain. The guides saw this and each one of those people had their own guide to help them get down. They were incredible people with tons of understanding and patience!"

"The excursion was two parts by two different operators which we didn’t realize. The hanging bridges tour was supposed to be mistico park but they switched it out with sky park because Mistico was closed for Good Friday. Which is fine but they did not tell us until it came up in conversation when our guide picked us up. Julio was our tour guide and andres was our driver. They were fantastic. If you are looking for a guide for hikes, I recommend Julio. Bring extra cash because as I didn’t realiZe it was a different operator for the first and second parts I didn’t have enough to tip as much as I had wanted. Also, lunch is with pure trek at pure trek. A groups zip lined in the morning and are lunch at the zip line place and when they got back to pure trek for lunch they had already eaten. I suggest trying to determine who the operator is for the second part of the combo so you can be prepared."

"My brother and I had an amazing time on our tour with Daviche, Luis, and Gustavo. The tour began at the Desafio agency in town where the guides drove us (30-40min) out to the excursion location. We were a small group of 4, which was quite nice. We stopped on the way for bathrooms and to buy a quick breakfast. When we arrived at the location, which was on private property, we received a quick tutorial on the equipment and how to rappel. We all wore harnesses, life jackets, and helmets. The first rappel was very high up, but we felt relatively safe — the equipment appeared to be new and of good quality and there was a guide at the top and bottom managing the rope. After that we jumped into several waterfalls and had a lot of fun! At the end there is a very high (11 meter) jump option for ultimate thrill seekers. It is nice that there is typically a route around if you are too scared, but I would not recommend this to anyone out of shape or afraid of heights. At the end, we had light refreshments and had the option to purchase photos for $10. We drove back and had a nice lunch at the Desafio property. All in all a great morning that exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!"
