Treasure Island Hotel & Casino
The Basics
Located at the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip, Treasure Island boasts thousands of slot machines and game tables inside its 95,000-square-foot (8,825 square meters) casino, plus live entertainment such asMystere by Cirque du Soleil and a variety of musicians and comedians. The hotel also offers nightlife, restaurants, and an outdoor heated pool with chaise lounges, in addition to hotel accommodations.
For a unique view of Treasure Island and other Las Vegas attractions, try an evening helicopter tour, book a tour in a limousine, or see the sights from a pink Cadillac with an Elvis impersonator along for the ride. Many tours include pickup and drop-off at your hotel.

When to Get There
Las Vegas is usually the most crowded from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is relatively mild; weekends will attract more visitors as well. As for entertainment, most shows perform year-round, but during the holiday season, such as the week before Christmas, many will go dark, so keep that in mind when booking your trip.
Hoover Dam
If your wallet needs a break from the casinos, head out to Hoover Dam, which is less than an hour away from Las Vegas. This impressive engineering feat continues to provide water to people in Arizona, California, and Nevada. Many full- and half-day tours, which include round-trip transportation from Vegas hotels, are available.
