Stamford Bridge
The Basics
Chelsea home matches are held biweekly at Stamford Bridge during the football season. Football fans can also peek behind-the-scenes on a stadium tour, allowing access to the changing rooms, the players’ tunnel, the dugouts, and the press room. Another highlight is the on-site Chelsea Museum, which is home to a huge collection of Chelsea memorabilia, as well as the team’s Champions League and Europa League trophies.
Things to Know Before You Go
Tours last around an hour and must be booked in advance.
There is an admission fee to visit the Chelsea Museum, but entrance is included for tour participants.
On-site facilities include a selection of bars and food vendors in each stand, plus free Wi-Fi.
All entrants to the ground are required to undergo security checks, and no large bags or suitcases are permitted.
The stadium and museum are wheelchair accessible.
How to Get There
Stamford Bridge is located in Fulham in West London. The nearest London Underground (tube) station is Fulham Broadway, around a 10-minute walk away.

When to Get There
Tours and museum visits are possible daily, including on match days, but unless you’re a ticket holder, it’s better to avoid visiting on a match day—both the stadium and the surrounding area will be overrun with spectators.
Stamford Bridge Stadium Redevelopments
The 42,000-capacity stadium is even more impressive since undergoing £100 million worth of renovations in 2001, including the addition of two hotels, a number of restaurants, and the Chelsea FC Museum. Further redevelopments are also in the works, with plans to increase the stadium capacity to 60,000.
