The Basics

While many travelers explore the park independently, viewing the restored city walls and unwinding on the grassy lawns, guided walking tours of Old Montreal (Vieux-Montréal) offer greater historical insight. These tours typically bring participants to Champ de Mars, as well as other key sights in the vicinity such as Notre-Dame Basilica, Place Jacques-Cartier, and Bonsecours Market.

Take the Old Montreal tour!
We had a great 90min English language tour with JoAnne! We learned a lot about old Montreal history including great stories about cultural and language differences between the English & French. History of the impact and the physical beauty of churches in Montreal too. It was a highly engaging and interesting tour. Can’t recommend it enough!!!
