The Basics

In the Old Winery Tasting Room, visitors can sample light- to medium-bodied wines that are fruit-driven in flavor. Reds, whites, and semisweet wines are all worth trying. At the Reserve tasting bar, inside the historic Rhine House mansion, it’s possible to sample a tasting menu of three reserve and limited-production wines. Fine chardonnays and cabernet sauvignons comprise Beringer’s private reserve, while its Founders’ Estate lineup features popular varietals including pinot grigio, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and merlot.

Visitors of all ages can take a 30-minute tour of the Old Winery and tunnels; Rhine House reserve tasting and food pairing follows a 1-hour estate tour. Guided tours by coach or private luxury limousine are available and often combine visits to nearby wineries such as Castello di Amorosa, Sterling, Jarvis, or Vine Cliff.
