The Basics

The everglades’ aquatic landscape is best explored by boat. Cruise up the Noosa River on a guided river cruise or canoe excursion to see wildlife and vegetation up close, learn about the area’s unique ecology, and swim in the reflective waters. A typical Noosa Everglades tour includes a boat cruise along the river, wildlife watching around Lake Cooroibah and Lake Cootharaba, and a barbeque lunch or afternoon tea at one of the area’s scenic campgrounds.

Fabulous trip
We had a great time on this trip. The driver made it very interesting and had a joke and a laugh with everyone. Explained everything to use and made a point of talking to everyone and making you feel like a part of the whole group. If you can ,definitely do this trip.

Lovely experience. It's a shame that they have cut out the drinks and nibbles to share experience with others after it.

Once in a life time experience. The company kept their promise in a reimbursement within the stated time for a family member who had to cancel due to ill health. You have to see the everglades to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness. Great service throughout. Excellent guide.

Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely scenery. Deducted one star as we saw no wildlife, although can't blame the company for that!

The mirror like reflections, the bird life, the calm and quiet. The local beer and sparkling wine was a nice touch. The campsite at the start looks like a lovely place to stay. The restaurant there was really good too.

Wonderful, entertaining and peaceful Christmas Eve cruise on the Everglades today with my husband and daughter. Fantastic hosts!. The Everglades & the mirror glass water were beautiful, we even paused for a chilled drink on the water. Great crowd on board, we had a fabulous trip. And to finish off, photos with the resident kangaroo at eco base camp! What more do you want?!!!

When to Get There

Wildlife in the Noosa Everglades

The diversity of trees, plants, and wildlife is one of the main attractions of the Noosa Everglades, with big twisting grasses, large swamp banksias, dense reeds, and hundreds of different flower species. As you cruise around the wetlands you can admire tea trees, melaleucas, and water lilies, while keeping a lookout for pelicans, ducks, cormorants, and eagles. You might even spot a rare jabiru swooping overhead, snakes or lizards lazing on the riverbanks, or the odd kangaroo hopping along the shore.
