In this experience you will learn and create your own craft.
We will take you to the first artisan town, San Antonino Castillo Velasco, famous for its beautiful hand-embroidered textiles and a place where you can learn and embroider a small detail that you can take with you.
Later we will visit San Martín Tilcajete, a place recognized for its Alebrijes and where you will have the opportunity to learn about the entire process to achieve these unique pieces. Here you can paint your Alebrije. And finally San Bartolo Coyotepec, the cradle of black clay. Here we will learn the process and elaboration of these beautiful crafts, in which we will participate to create and design a unique piece in the world.

Meet us at Oaxaca City, to begin our vehicle ride up to the mountains at Cuajimoloyas, where a delicious local breakfast will be waiting for us. We will then begin our 32 km bike ride down the mountains.
The first part of the ride goes from Cuajimoloyas to its neighbour town Benito Juarez, a 9km stretch that includes the only 2km ascent of the experience. If you choose to skip this up-hill, you can hop on the vehicle to bring you up to the hanging bridge.
After enjoying these peaceful moments, we will continue riding all the way down to Teotitlan del Valle. We will arrive at Josefina & Porfirio's home, where they will share with us a delicious lunch. Their textile workshop is adjacent to their home, where they will show us the interesting techniques they use to create the beautiful rugs that this vibrant town is known for.
We will then go back to Oaxaca. There is no doubt that this will be a highlight of your trip.
