"We almost did not do this tour...I'm SO GLAD we went. Hugo G was simply an outstanding guide... more like a gracious host - knowledgeable, charming & interesting. Our driver did a great job as well so Hugo could focus on us as we went up to our destination. The Finca San Cayetano (the coffee farm) was absolutely delightful and true to their photos! Lots of lovely trails, excellent food at the restaurant with a stunning views of both their beautiful grounds & one of several volcanos nearby . Absolutely recommended - especially if you are tired of noise, crowds, & hustle. Ask for Hugo G if he available -he will take good care of you."

The only negative point was that the tour did not allow any time to do a bit of browsing and shopping on your own. This I think should be included to improve the experience."

"We had a terrific tour in La Antigua. Our tour guide was right on time, explained whatand when we were doing activities. Off we went to an excellent day of learning about La Antigua. He kept us moving and told us interesting stories and facts of the different places we went. Lunch was terrific. We enjoyed trying on the local clothes and learning how the local women made their clothes. Our stroll through the Casa Santo Domingo, was delightful."

"We rode up into the hills on this private tour from the cruise ship. We toured the cobblestone streets of LaAntigua and San Juan Del Obispo Palace. The weather in the mountains was beautiful. The driver and the tour guide were outstanding! We had a private lunch and a few beers in a local run casual restaurant. We had a wonderful day!"

"Let me start that I'm picky about my excersions and do as much homework as I can and without a doubt, Erwin's Pacaya Volcano Hike is an incredible excersion. Erwin was kind, intelligent and open, answering a variety of questions about his country and what it's like to live in Guatemala. He's got a nice reliable car with A/C that was clean and comfortable. He was also a safe driver. He prepared us for what we should expect when we got to the base of the trail that would lead us to the volcano. That way we didn't feel overwhelmed by the men selling donkey rides. We hiked with him on a moderate, wide slope while taking in the views of the devastation in the valley and learning more about the area. Once we got higher, we were met with the massive river of freshly hardened lava that had run towards the valley. We then made our way onto the small trail that weaves across. A note here..It would be wise to bring a hiking stick for better stability because of potential loose footing. You will also get to feel the heat coming from deep "vents" on top of the flow. There's a man that sells excellent pizza out on the lava field that will over charge you if you let him. The pizza was quite good but ask for the price first. My only regret was not adding the repelling element that Erwin had also offered after the hike. That would have been cool. Honestly, you can't go wrong with Erwin's Pacaya Volcano Hike he's a kind and intelligent man. Definitely a must do!"

"This was exactly the tour we were seeking. As a group of old college friends traveling to Guatemala we wanted to experience as much variety as possible. Nelson, our guide did a wonderful job exposing us to several different aspects of his country. The vineyards and chalet of the winery are definitely worth seeing. The Mayan village and Antigua are a must. Nelson did an expert job explaining and covering cultural facts and distinctions. The rum distillery was good, I've been to so many distilleries I just am a little over the tours, but the tour and tasting was good by comparisons to others. Throughout the entire tour Nelson was great at answering questions and pointing our high lights of the country. He also was great at getting us back to our destination on time. All and all I would contact him again if we are in the area as he is a fabulous guide."
